Selin Schamiloglu, MS is a PhD Candidate in the Bender Lab at UCSF. Her research focuses on the role of the D3 dopamine receptor in the prefrontal cortex. Before coming to UCSF, she completed her BA at Columbia University and worked in the Gordon lab studying prefrontal cortical-hippocampal circuitry. Throughout her time at UCSF, she has been involved in science outreach efforts through the UCSF SEP program and the Bay Area Science Festival. Selin has also served on the UCSF Neuroscience Graduate Program Student Executive Committee for 2 years and is looking forward to advocating for graduate students at the university level as a member of CSW.
